Annotation: The main objective of the project is to develop a technology for tracking lower limb movements in virtual and augmented reality using sensors from Meta Quest 3 controllers. This innovative system will be primarily designed for rehabilitation purposes, enabling real-time monitoring and evaluation of patients’ movements. With this approach, rehabilitation programs can be extended not only to the upper body but also to the lower limbs, which is particularly crucial for patients after total hip and knee joint replacements. The project aims to deliver a comprehensive solution that combines both hardware components and software applications in VR and AR. In addition to developing a new sensor and refining lower limb tracking techniques, the project will create four VR/AR applications that allow patients to perform specific rehabilitation exercises. Both hardware and software will be pilot-tested in spa facilities in cooperation with ILaB. The entire system will enable physiotherapists to monitor patient progress more effectively and tailor rehabilitation programs to individual needs.
